SHIFTING GROUNDS

Nel Bonte - Johannes Ulrich Kubiak - Ken'ichiro Taniguchi -Jan Verbruggen

20 - 23.11.2025

For its third participation at Luxembourg Art Week, Eva Steynen Gallery presents Shifting Grounds, featuring sculptures by Nel Bonte and Ken’ichiro Taniguchi, and paintings by Johannes Ulrich Kubiak and Jan Verbruggen. The presentation explores the fragile balance between structure and transformation.

Taniguchi’s foldable Hecomi sculptures and Bonte’s poetic constructions echo Kubiak’s meditative layers of color and Verbruggen’s dreamlike Echo series. Together, their works trace the shifting boundaries between nature and architecture, intuition and order, memory and perception — forming a shared terrain where fragility becomes a site of renewal and connection.

TRACES OF COMMON GROUND

Benoît Felix - Johannes Ulrich Kubiak - Wannes Lecompte -  Ken'ichiro Taniguchi

11 - 14.12.2025

Opening: Thursday 11 December (by invitation)

For its second participation at Art Antwerp, Eva Steynen Gallery presents four artists — Benoît Felix, Johannes Ulrich Kubiak, Ken’ichiro Taniguchi, and Wannes Lecompte — exploring the subtle traces left behind: gestures, marks, and impressions that carry memory, emotion, and human experience.

Felix blurs line and object; Kubiak layers abstraction and figuration; Taniguchi highlights cracks and intersections between nature and urban space; Lecompte builds depth through overpainting, colour, and texture.

At the same time, Traces of Common Ground reflects on the world we share. In a time when distance and difference often feel vast, these works remind us of the invisible threads that (inter)connect us — the currents, residues, and marks that quietly bind our shared world
