For this year's participation at Art Antwerp, Eva Steynen Gallery presents Traces of common grounds four artists — Benoît Felix, Johannes Ulrich Kubiak, Wannes Lecompte, and Ken’ichiro Taniguchi — whose works capture the subtle traces we leave behind: gestures, marks, and impressions that carry memory, emotion, and presence.

Felix blurs drawing, line and object, Kubiak builds depth through luminous pigment layers, balancing abstraction and figuration, Taniguchi uncovers the hidden beauty of urban cracks, and Lecompte traces slow gestures of colour and rhythm. Together, their works explore what binds us in a fragmented world: the marks, shifts, and resonances we share.

Voor haar participatie dit jaar aan Art Antwerp presenteert Eva Steynen Gallery Traces of common ground; vier kunstenaars — Benoit Felix, Johannes Ulrich Kubiak, Wannes Lecompte en Ken’ichiro Taniguchi — wier werk de subtiele sporen toont die we achterlaten: gebaren, markeringen en impressies die herinnering, emotie en aanwezigheid dragen.

Felix vervaagt tekening, lijn en object, Kubiak bouwt diepte via luminieuze pigmentlagen en balanceert abstractie en figuratie, Taniguchi onthult de verborgen schoonheid van stedelijke breuken, en Lecompte volgt het canvas met trage sporen van kleur en ritme. Samen onderzoeken hun werken wat ons bindt in een gefragmenteerde wereld: de sporen, verschuivingen en resonanties die we delen.
